I LOVE to listen to the RADIO as I work away on my jewlery for you. Sometimes I'll listen to interviews of people I admire and often I end up at Värvet podcasts - amongst many other pods and radiostations. I am picky about what I allow into my ears. I can fit alot of music in my heart.
As of last summer I opened my work-shop in Henningsvær, Lofoten for the first summerseason. It was a great experience and I learned so much and met so many beautiful people. The shop is actually an old radiorepair shop since way back when...and this is where the story of my Radio Sound Collection starts.
In the workshop I have tried to keep as much as possible exactly the way it has always been in regards to the interiour. I found a treasurechest filled with old radioparts and now I can finally present the result: Radio Sound Collection. It is to honor the place and the people in memory of the shop that was owned and run by Sverre A. Larsen. Many locals have come inside to have a look at the transformation of the work-shop, and I have been told so many really cool stories about their memories of both Sverre and his radiorepair shop.
The more I have thought of it, the more different stories are involved in my new collection. It is so much about how we perceive sound and how we today actually use the knowledge of this in so many ways.
