Ride without the balance in the hand

Last weekend we visited Täby Ryttarförening to follow Carl Hester's clinic. It was great to see him working with riders and horses at different levels. He talked a lot about self-carriage - how important it is for us riders to be balanced enough to be able to ride without the balance in the hand. "Give the hand" he repeated countless times.  He also pointed out how important it is that the rider goes forward a bit with the upper body sometimes to lighten the seat.
Here is an exercise that helps you to improve your balance and to find your centre of gravity.

Rider Analysis measures your balance

Training and practising your balance is extremely important to avoid losing your balance and put to much pressure on the horses mounth. Another thing is to do a Rider Analysis where you find out how balanced you are.
Then do the exercises that you are given and do these at least twice a week for 10 weeks and then make a new measurement and Rider Analysis.
We now have a special price 299 SEK for you when you buy two Rider Analysis in our webshop.  Write 10WEEKS when you buy and check out your analyses. You will then receive two value codes that you use as payment when you have collected your movement data and are ordering your analysis.

We are invited to show Rider Analysis on Dutch Innovation Day!

We are invited to have a stand at the KNHS Congresweek at the Dutch National Equestrian Centre in Ermelo on the first of November. The KNHS celebrates 100 years during a whole week.

On the Innovation Day, there will be demonstrations of new technique like for instance an eye tracker for riders, the Swedish innovation Sleip – AI and a device to measure horse’s heart rate during work. And we will be there!
